These turbos are assembled and balanced by PT Turbo in California with all new parts. These use new Garrett/Rotomaster bearing housings and turbine shafts and wheels in each one. Equivalent or superior quality components made in the USA and Canada are used where necessary to provide best performance and reliability. The compressor housings are sourced from overseas and come polished by default. The turbine housings are sourced from overseas unless Genuine Garrett turbine housing option is selected. All journal bearing turbos come equipped with a 360deg thrust bearing standard.
In 20 years+ of running these turbos built, and balanced in the USA, we have had only a few issues that were not related to installation error, and these were takend care of by PT Turbo. These still represent the best bang for the buck in aftermarket turbocharging we offer.
*NOTE: Billet compressor wheel testing has not been completed to the maximum capability of the turbo to determine if it will result in a higher maximum power capacity for the turbo. In theory the billet technology wheels are going to spool faster, and flow more overall increasing their responsiveness and flow at a given boost level.
