MSD 8910 Tach Adapter

If you are wanting to add MSD ignition to your existing distributor based ignition system and want to keep all functionality of tachometer, this tach adapter is basically a "dummy" coil that goes in place of the factory coil to take the output from the factory igniter. Then you can run the MSD output directly to your real coil to get the hotter multiple sparks and capacitive discharge of the MSD ignition. This allows use on almost any EMS system as it retains the factory igniter driving the "dummy" 8910 coil so your tach output is unchanged from stock.

When using the MSD ignition on the MR2/Celica Alltrac with most aftermarket EMS systems or for use with Gen 4 Caldina ECU swaps you will need the 8920 tach adapter.
